Austin, TX (01/13/17) — Earlier this week, Representative Kyle Biedermann was officially sworn into office in Austin on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017. His capitol office was full of supporters celebrating as he took his oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States and Texas. Representative Biedermann was joined by family, friends, and constituents alike.
“I am excited and incredibly honored to have been officially sworn into office! The ceremony was surreal, and having the support of House District 73 on swearing-in day meant a great deal to me and my family. Now, the real work begins! It’s time to stand boldly for the very principles I’m here to protect,” said Representative Biedermann.
The ceremony started with a prayer for wisdom for the house members as they begin their 140 day journey through the legislative session. Families of the representatives were welcome to sit on the house floor, and Representative Biedermann’s wife, Barbi, was by his side as she watched her husband officially become House District 73’s newest Representative in the Texas House.
Following the swearing in ceremony, Representative Biedermann had the privilege of swearing in Travis D. Jones as judge advocate in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps. Jones received his degree in economics from Pepperdine University, and graduated Cum Laude from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University. Having attended the Naval Justice School, Jones has been commissioned as judge advocate and will serve at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
As the 85th Legislative session begins, Representative Biedermann is ready to faithfully serve the constituents of House District 73. To contact his office, email [email protected], or call (512)-463‑0325.
