Rep. Biedermann’s Statement Regarding Bulverde Area Republican Women’s Meeting Cancelled Due To a Credible Threat of Disruption

August 12, 2019

“The fact that tonight’s Bulverde Area Republican Women meeting had to be cancelled due to a credible threat of disruption, with potential harm to people and facilities by protesters is a shame.

I have spent time with the Texas Border Volunteers, who were to be the guest speaker for the cancelled BAR‑W meeting, and I know the important work they do to help our border patrol apprehend illegal aliens. The Texas Border Volunteers are not a violent group, nor vigilantes. In fact, they are invited by ranchers to patrol and protect their land.  They do not engage with the illegal aliens that they find but instead they alert border patrol and the authorities. They have helped make Texas safer, and have saved the lives of  many illegals left for dead by their coyote guides.

Shame on those responsible for these threats. Keep up the great work BAR‑W and the Texas Border Volunteers. We have your backs!”- State Representative Kyle Biedermann
