Rep. Biedermann teams up with Headwaters for Heroes & Comal County Veterans Treatment Court for 3rd Annual Veterans & First Responders Thanksgiving Dinner

September 28, 2018

Fredericksburg, T.X. (9/28/18) – After a tradition began in 2016 to honor our veterans and first responders, many in the community are coming together to host the 3rd Annual Veterans and First Responders Thanksgiving Dinner, this year hosted in both, Fredericksburg and New Braunfels.

The New Braunfels Thanksgiving Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Christ Presbyterian Church. The Fredericksburg Thanksgiving Dinner will take place in Fredericksburg on Monday, November 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church. Seating times at both dinners will be 11:00am and 2:00pm. Seating is limited to the Veteran or First Responder and one guest.

“I’m incredibly honored to co-host this great event for our local veterans and first responders,” said State Representative Kyle Biedermann. “In these times, it is especially important to thank our veterans and all of those who serve in uniform. As the son of a Retired Army Colonel and the father of two Navy Active Duty Sailors, I know many of our men and women in uniform have sacrificed and contributed to make our community and our country great. I’m proud to be a part of this dinner to say thank you to honor these heroes and their families, who have sacrificed so much.”

This event is completely free of charge and orchestrated by volunteers. Each dinner will have two seatings and is expected to draw close to 600 veterans and first responders. Hundreds of local volunteers will be needed to make this an amazing event. We need food donations of stuffing mix, chicken broth, green beans and cranberry sauce. Monetary donations may be made to Headwaters for Heroes or Comal County Veterans Treatment Court and dropped off at Ace Hardware in Fredericksburg, or mailed to 1102 East Main St Fredericksburg, TX, 78624.  Food donations may be dropped off at Christ Presbyterian Church in New Braunfels or Ace Hardware, Fredericksburg.

If you’re a veteran or first responder in New Braunfels and would like to attend, please RSVP to 830-307-4877 with your preferred seating time.

If you’re a veteran or first responder in Fredericksburg and would like to attend, please RSVP to 830-998-3469 with your preferred seating time.

“God bless this awesome district for consistently delivering for veterans and First Responders. We are doing this for our veterans, our police officers, our firefighters, EMS, and others as a genuine way to just say ‘THANKS’. This is an opportunity for all of us to step up to the plate and return the favor for those who have served,” said Representative Biedermann. “We need volunteers and donations now, and also want to ask folks to volunteer the day of and day before.”

Those interested are asked to either donate goods, their time or make a donation on behalf of the event, by, contacting:
