Texas has shown its com­pas­sion by lead­ing the nation in the reset­tle­ment of refugees for many years. With the utter fail­ure of our fed­er­al gov­ern­ment to secure our bor­der, Texas has had to shoul­der the impact of ille­gal immi­gra­tion into our state.
