“Recently, I sent a letter to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to request a meeting with their Executive Director, Mr. Toby Baker, to discuss our concerns regarding various District 73 issues. Recently in New Braunfels, I met with Mr. Baker and staff to dialogue on these key issues.
We discussed the TCEQ air sampling program for Aggregate Production Operations, the Hill Country Priority Groundwater Management Area designation, and the recently passed House Bill 720 that deals with the TCEQ issuing permits for the underground storage of flood waters.
Thank you to Ian Taylor and New Braunfels Utilities for hosting the meeting at their downtown facilities. I remain committed to working with senior environmental state regulators to find solutions to important issues facing the Hill Country.”- State Representative Kyle Biedermann
