My staff and I have been working closely with elected officials, experts, and the public in my district regarding future water plans regarding the significant increase in growth. This week, my Environmental Policy Analyst, Larry Bailey, and I addressed the Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District meeting in Boerne.
Our purposes were:
1. To clarify the newly drafted flood mitigation and control rules by the Texas Water Development Board for implementing Senate Bills 7 and 8. To discuss how these draft rules can and will have a positive impact on the availability of water in Kendall County.
2. To discuss how these draft rules can and will have a positive impact on the availability of water in Kendall County.
3. To identify the need for a number of key stakeholder groups in and outside of Kendall County to form a broad-based coalition to address the water needs for the county. “- State Representative Kyle Biedermann
