Rep. Biedermann’s Advisory Councils Meet in New Braunfels for Legislative Update and End of Session Goal Planning
April 15, 2017
Austin, TX (04/15/17) — Representative Kyle Biedermann recently held an all day advisory council meeting with constituents in Honors Hall at the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce. The representative established advisory councils last fall to better understand the needs and the issues facing house district 73. There are a total of 15 different councils to include education, transportation, property rights, deer and elk, faith and family, and more.
“It was encouraging to see so many people come talk about issues they care about. People drove from all over the district to attend. In fact, we even had people drive all the way from Fredericksburg for the earliest council meeting at eight in the morning!” said Representative Biedermann.
Hundreds of constituents came to meet with Representative Biedermann and his staff during the day. The meetings were structured so that individuals could express their concerns and inform the representative about issues that need to be addressed on a state or local level. The representative and his staff also updated the attendees with information on legislation Representative Biedermann has filed, and candidly discussed what’s happened so far this legislative session.
